Virus Protection
Virus Protection, often referred to as Anti-Virus software is software that prevents, detects and removes malware, such as viruses, Trojans, rootkits and ransomware. It performs these functions by analysing data packets sent to its computer and seeing if it contains any known malicious code.
Avast

AVG
Firewall

Comodo Internet Security
Clean Up Tools
This utility is used to perform maintenance tasks on a computer, it analyses hard drives and then removes unused and unnecessary files such as any files in the recycling bin and temporary internet files.
CCleaner
Defragmentation
This is a type of software that physically moves data around on a storage device, it removes fragmentations and rearranges the formation to provide better allocation and free up space.
Disk Defrag
Piriform Defraggler

Backup Tool
Software that's purpose is to create a duplicate of data stored on its targeted storage device to recover from disaster events such as hardware malfunction or data deletion. This utility creates a replica of all the data so that it can be replaced if the original is somehow removed. An alternation to physically storing the backup yourself, the user can now use cloud services that store backup data in remote locations for added security.
