Input devices
An input device is a peripheral use to provide data and
control signals to a computer system, these are things like keyboards, mouse,
and scanners that all send data to the computer.
Output devices
An output device is a peripheral that displays data and
communicates the results of data processing to the end user. It converts the
electronically generated data into human-readable information; these are things
like projectors and monitors.
Cabling
Cabling is used to connect peripherals in a computer system
such as the keyboard cable and mouse cable. They are used to transfer the data
between the computer system and the peripheral device.
Disks
Disks are a storage
mechanism used to store data magnetically on these disks. Different types of
disks include the HDD and FDD, which are the Hard Disk Drive and Floppy Disk
Drive.
Flash memory cards
A flash memory card is a storage device used to digitally
store data and is often used with digital cameras and mobile phones.
Portable drives
Portable drives are disk drives that have the ability to be
moved and connected to different computer systems via a USB port. They use
disks to store data and are encased in plastic for protection.
